I and my co-founder Mnatsakan welcome you to Saima and wish you the best ever journey with us.
It all started from Mnatsakan’s very own pain. In 2020, he started his 2nd Master's degree in Applied Data Science at the University of Michigan, a fully online degree. But he soon found himself being very depressed and stressed-out. Being a non-native English speaker and having the need to translate the words in his mind to catch up with his classes were driving him crazy. He was constantly playing with the playback speed and was struggling to find the best speed for his video lectures. As a result, his comprehension suffered heavily and he was ready to drop-out.
I could feel his pain, as I instantly remembered my experience in the US as an exchange student and how I would give anything to have a magic remote control to slow down my US history teacher Mr. Webb to understand him better.
